We at VOCS are making hereby positively our last notification that there is still time to sign up for the 86th annual BRD.

 

If filling in forms or fighting ticketing websites is just too much for you, just email us at VOCS at *protected email*, tell us your name, your guests names, your college and all menu choices and bring your appropriate cheque to the door.

The 86th Annual Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race Dinner in Vancouver – Friday, May 6th, 2016

At the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club – 3811 Point Grey Road, Vancouver

6:30 p.m.  Black Tie Optional.

Choice of Carnivore, Vegetarian and Vegan menu – see attached

 

The Toasts

“The Universities” – The Honourable Andrew Wilkinson, Minister of Advanced Education, Province of British Columbia

“Oxford” – Trevor Bruce

“Cambridge” – Rachel Dekker

 

The toasts to Oxford and to Cambridge are both being given by Members who are partakers in “Oxbridge Drinks”, the new VOCS group for recent graduates.

 

You have two options for reserving a place at the BRD table, paying by credit card using Evenbrite or paying by cheque using snail mail and the form below.

CARNIVORE

Lobster bisque

Sterling Silver Beef Tenderloin

Wild Mushroom Ragout

Cabernet Sauce

VEGETARIAN

Starter:

Spinach salad with grapefruit and orange segments and pomegranate dressing

Main:

Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Italian Olive Oil, Tomato, Fresh Basil, Spinach, Kalamata Olives, Parmigiano Reggiano, Garlic Bread

 

VEGAN

Starter:

Spinach salad with grapefruit and orange segments and pomegranate dressing

Main:

Portobello mushroom cup with spinach, tofu, tomato, pepper, potato wedge and tomato coulis

“Hootch”:

There will be a cash bar before dinner @ $8.00 for “Hootch”, $4.00 for soft drinks. There will be two glasses of red or white wine served at dinner to each guest. Additional bottles of red and white wine can be purchased by guests at the bar. Those wanting port to finish BRD#86 can obtain it from the bar at $8.00 per glass.

 

(We at VOCS apologize for this complicated “Hootch”, regime but “Hootch” over-runs have led to deficits at previous BRDs. We at VOCS are sure the Members will agree with our due prudence.)
